Hicksville Fork Lane Elementary School’s Hoops For Heart

The importance of fitness at Fork Lane Elementary School in the Hicksville Public School District showed as students recently participated in two Hoops for Heart events.
Hoops for Heart promotes physical activity, heart-healthy living and community service. Among the activities that students engaged in were jump roping, sit and reach, basketball, yoga and several others.

“We’ve held Hoops for Heart twice this month,” Principal Susan Guiliano said. “The students love it and they’re having fun while learning about their well-being.”
