At Lee Avenue Elementary, Veronica Sylvia’s library students in grades third, fourth and fifth were given the option to participate in a Pumpkin Book Character Contest.

Students that chose to participate were given a pumpkin template and their challenge was to create their favorite book character using only markers or crayons.

Two to three winners were selected from each grade level and prizes were given.
