Violet
Violet

Violet is a sweet young black and white cat who is affectionate and friendly. This easy-going beauty is also very playful as she enjoys playing with balls and toy mice, and especially string toys! This gentle gal is good with children and other cats. You will find Violet rubbing up against your legs or giving you head butts for affection. Violet would do well in any home with lots of love.

Available for adoption at the Town of Smithtown Animal Shelter

Zendaya
Zendaya

**Special Request** Meet the Smithtown Animal Shelter’s Pet of the Week, Zendaya! Zendaya is a 5- to 6-month-old black and white Domestic Shorthair who is gentle, affectionate, and a total sweetheart. Zendaya is a special girl with special needs, as she has Feline Leukemia. As a result of this, she should either be the only cat in the home or should live with other cats who are also Feline Leukemia positive or are vaccinated for it. She will have a shorter life span, so she needs a family who will make the most of her time and will give her lots of love. It takes a special kind of person to open their hearts to a Feline Leukemia affected cat, but Zendaya is worth it! To inquire about Zendaya, please call the Smithtown Animal Shelter at 631-360-7575.

Available for adoption at the Babylon Animal Shelter

Wilbur and Willow
Wilbur and Willow

**Special Request** Willow and Wilbur need a loving foster home. These two were rescued a year ago from horrendous conditions and rely on each other for support, so they need to be fostered/adopted together. The shelter has a rescue willing to set up a foster to manage their medical costs. They do well with other dogs, but the shelter would prefer a home for just the 2 of them. They tested well with cats and adore all people. Older children are recommended as they are a little clumsy, especially Wilbur, and he tends to take treats a little hard.

Oreo
Oreo

Oreo was surrendered in March of 2021 when her family could no longer care for her. She came to the shelter knowing how to sit down, come, and stay. Oreo is also a professional fetcher so a fenced yard would be on her wish list.  Fetch is the quickest way to break the ice and form a bond with Oreo. She loves to play, is very affectionate and has very good manners. Oreo is about 6 years old and would need to be the only pet.  She walks well on a leash and would do best with older kids because she has never been exposed to children in her previous home.

Koda
Koda

Koda is a sweet girl, and very anxious about being in the shelter. She arrived in July of 2021 at about 2 years old. She is incredibly obedient; she likes to stick close by you and she comes right to you when you call her. Koda’s previous home reports that she can be afraid of thunder and fireworks. She is not a fan of cats and has not done well at the shelter with other dogs. Koda jumps on you for some loving, and she will take all the love that you will give her. The shelter recommends older kids for this reason. Koda seeks a home with a fenced yard as she is a young and energetic dog and needs to run. She does well walking on a leash. Koda is petite, only weighing around 40 lbs…and just look at those cute bunny ears!

If you can open your heart and home to Willow and Wilbur, Oreo, and/or Koda, please contact babylonvolunteers@gmail.com as soon as possible for adoption/foster information.

Charlie
Charlie

**Senior Alert** When Charlie (Adoption #L80718) was searching for his next meal outside in the Bronx, he came across a hero who encouraged him to consider a better retirement plan indoors. The chance encounter has completely changed the trajectory of Charlie’s life and now this timid 10-year-old is listening to his friends tell him about a peaceful home in his future. A life outdoors has left Charlie FIV+ and weary of new situations. NSALA is promising him a tranquil home life with older children and adults experienced in helping fearful cats acclimate to a whole new lifestyle as beloved pets. Charlie loves to listen to stories from his friends and is pretty blasé about roommates as long as they’re as calm as he is and have treats handy to win him over.

Moosie and Stewie
Moosie and Stewie

**Double Adoption** When Moose (Adoption #LA2505) and Stewie’s (Adoption #LA2506) beloved owner moved to a nursing home, their lives were turned upside down. Fortunately, NSALA’s shelter partners in Louisiana reached out in hopes they could provide them a fresh start through Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center. Although these beautiful seven-year-old brothers feel overwhelmed by all the changes they’ve experienced, NSALA is confident someone equally special will meet them and fall in love just as they have. Want to be the heroes Moose and Stewie need to put their lives back on track? All they need is a quiet home (with children aged 8 and older) and a patient heart; love will do the rest.

Pearl and Piper
Pearl and Piper

**Senior Alert and Double Adoption** Pearl (Adoption #SPC314) and her daughter Piper (Adoption #SPC315) met a huge obstacle when they recently lost their home. Together they will face this challenge, but they’re not alone. With their trusted friends at Animal League America at their side, these tentative ladies take comfort in the quiet room they share in Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center. 13-year-old Pearl has already grown to appreciate the peace we provide, while seven-year-old Piper watches her mom carefully for cues they are at last safe. A quiet, cat-experienced home will fill them up with the love they miss, and in return, they’ll pay you with gratitude for setting their lives back on course for happiness.

Pixie

**Senior Alert** Thirteen-year-old Pixie’s (Adoption #SPC316) life lost magic when her owner passed away. Taken from the only home she’d ever known, this distinguished senior beauty needs help to work out all of the abrupt changes to her life. NSALA is here to offer her a gentle hand and a peaceful spot while they find her a family who’ll offer her a sanctuary, she needs to regain her confidence. If you’ve had experience nurturing cats before, your quiet home may be exactly what Pixie needs to renew her magical life.

Will
Will

Will (Adoption #WV0310) is wondering when the good part of his life is going to start. This tender 10-month-old tabby came a very long way to find his family—all the way from West Virginia! He’s been assured that the best part is coming once he gets to be the only beloved pet in a loving home. He’ll be open to nose boops and ear rubs if you promise to love him furever.

Wesley
Wesley

Wesley (Adoption #WV0311) doesn’t know this yet, but his worst days are far behind him. Safe and sound in Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center, this ten-month-old kitten is taking his time comprehending that only the best days are ahead now that he’s warm inside and the care of loving helpers. NSALA can’t wait to send him off to a lucky family who will successfully demonstrate to him that he will always be this safe and loved.

Pandora and Aurora
Pandora and Aurora

**Double Adoption** What could be more delightful than an adorable, affectionate puffball of a kitten? How about two!? Seven-month-old Pandora (Adoption #WV0317) (the darker tortie) and her beloved sister Aurora (Adoption #WV0318) (the dilute one) complete each other’s hearts in every way. All they need now is a lucky family to discover them so they can finally share the home of their dreams together—with you!

Flaca 1
Flaca

Two-year-old Flaca’s (Adoption #PR00063) life in Puerto Rico may have been challenging, but NSALA promised her she’s welcome to take all the time she needs to feel comfortable in Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center. With just a little love and encouragement, this lovely lady is beginning to believe the world will be a safe place for her. Your quiet home, with compassionate family members and children (over age ten) who are looking to nurture her, is exactly what she’s been waiting for her whole life.
