Dine-LI held its third in-person event, For the Love of Dine-LI: Small Business Market, on April 30, to support an amazing cause: Rescuing Families Inc., a Franklin Square-based non-profit that supports community members’ lives through necessary home improvements.
The market featured more than 100 vendors, most of them food vendors. There was live music, drinks, and fun all around. More than 900 tickets sold, and proceeds will go to Rescuing Families Inc., which aims to assist struggling homeowners with disabilities and/or financial hardships with home rehab or modification. The check presentation will be Monday, May 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the charity’s yard sale site in Franklin Square.
The previous event was held on Feb. 19 and raised $12,000 for Last Hope Animal Rescue. Dine-LI plans to host another either at end of 2022 or early 2023.
