On May 17, I’m going to proudly vote for my friend and neighbor Christine Monterosso for reelection to our Board of Education for the following reasons and more.
With six years of experience, Christine fully understands the role of the board. She understands what the board does and does not have the power to do, allowing her to continue to use time and resources efficiently to create maximum positive impact.
During Covid, Christine was deeply concerned about transparency and community participation so she advocated successfully to offer Zoom access to parents and community members.
Christine has overseen six years of annual budgets staying within the tax cap while still adding important and exciting new resources for our kids, like the very popular new journalism and broadcast TV suite in the secondary school.
Christine is committed to catching up our curriculum in technology and engineering throughout the district including adding robotics to our schools.
Christine is a tireless advocate for kindness, equality, inclusion and diversity.
Christine is committed to our children’s mental health and the mental health of our entire community.
For these reasons and many more, I hope you’ll join me on May 17 in casting your ballots for Christine.
