Summer doesn’t officially start until June 21, but on Long Island the party starts this weekend.
iHeartMedia’s 103.5 KTU “The Beat of New York” hosts its annual KTUphoria concert at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh this Saturday, June 18, at 7 p.m.
KTUphoria 2022 is the popular radio station’s party to kick off the summer. This year’s lineup includes Pitbull, Ava Max, Regard, Laidback Luke, and Lodato. There will also be a 25th anniversary freestyle set from TKA, Freedom Williams and C & C Music Factory, George Lamond, Judy Torres, Coro, Lucas Prata, Cynthia, Lisette Melendez, Reina, and Kim Sozzi.
Pitbull is a Grammy award-winning Latin global superstar with hits such as “Give Me Everything” and “Timber.” Ava Max is a dance-pop singer best known for her song “Sweet but Psycho.” Regard is a DJ best known for his TikTok viral remix “Ride It.” Laidback Luke topped the UK charts with his remix of the Robin S. song “Show Me Love.” Lodato’s remix of “Break My Heart” by Dua Lipa hit No. 1 on iHeartRadio’s RT30 countdown.
The 25th anniversary freestyle set will be a throwback for those who loved to hit the clubs in the ’90s. TKA is the best-selling Latin freestyle band in history with hits such as “Louder Than Love.” Freedom Williams and C&C Music Factory are best known for the party anthem “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now).”
There will be a pre-party celebration, free and only for ticket holders, on the concourse level at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater. The pre-party lasts from 3 to 5:30 p.m. and hosts KTU’s resident DJs and special artist appearances. Attend and you’ll have a chance to win meet and greet packages with KTUphoria artists. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
