A new Halloween-themed restaurant, Haunted House of Hamburgers, is expected to open in Farmingdale this fall. The spooky eatery will be located at 332 Fulton St., the former location of Friendly’s, which closed in 2015.
Owner Jordan Desner says he has always loved Halloween and has had this restaurant concept in mind for a while, until recently deciding to turn his dreams into a reality. Desner hopes to fill the restaurant with all kinds of Halloween decorations on both the interior and exterior of the building.
“Everything is transforming,” Desner said. “This is going to be very different from anything else.”
The menu will feature classic American dishes, including beef burgers, turkey burgers, signature, and make-your-own options. For those who do not eat meat, impossible burgers will be available. Flatbread pizza, soups, and salads, along with entrees, will all be served there as well. Ice cream, milkshakes, and sundaes will be some of the options available for dessert.
“We’re going to have it all,” Desner said. “All the names [of menu items] are going to be themed out with haunted names.”
“We invite people coming down in costumes, we love all that,” he added. “It’s Halloween every day here.”
Desner did not give details on an opening date, but the restaurant is slated to open sometime this fall.
