Asbury Shorts USA Returns for 12th Annual Westbury Outdoor Short Film Concert
Asbury Shorts USA returned to Westbury on Friday, Sept. 16 to present the 11th annual Westbury Outdoor Short Film Concert. Jazz singer and pianist David Morales opened the evening with live music.
Asbury Shorts is New York City’s longest-running short film exhibition and travel show combining classic shorts with new global honorees creating a rare opportunity to see world-class, prize-winning films on a real cinema screen rather than YouTube, computers or smart phones. The Sept. 16 lineup featured a mix of US festival “Best of Show” winners and international hits with many audience favorites from over the years.
Director Jason Reitman (JUNO, Up in the Air, Thank You for Smoking, Young Adult) calls Asbury Shorts “the best short film show I’ve ever seen.”
