The American Red Cross Greater New York chapter held its Long Island Heroes Among Us Gala at Oheka Castle on Sept. 22.
The event raised money for the disaster relief organization and recognized three honorees with special awards. Dr. Errol D, Toulon Jr., a sheriff in Suffolk County, received the 2022 Humanitarian Award. Antonina Barry and Daniel Shea received the Good Samaritan Heroes Award for their efforts to save their neighbors from a house fire.
