Long Islanders voted Stephen Rosenbluth of Anchor Down the Best Chef on Long Island in the 2022 Bethpage Best of Long Island contest!
Anyone can cook, but a great chef combines skills in the kitchen with the knowledge of which flavors work together perfectly. Since 2014, Stephen Rosenbluth has been serving up delicious food at Anchor Down in Merrick. With more than 20 years of experience under his belt, Rosenbluth has manned the kitchen in a number of Manhattan restaurants for the Patina Restaurant Group, including Brasserie 8 1/2, Naples 45, and Nick + Stef’s Steakhouse, as well as Legal Seafoods in Garden City on Long Island. His passion for cooking runs very deep in his soul. Having worked as a fisherman in Montauk for many years prior to being a chef, Rosenbluth was able to gain an appreciation for where his food comes from, and now he makes sure that Anchor Down serves the freshest ingredients in every meal!
