Life’s WORC Hosts Walk for WORC Force to Support New Facility
Life’s WORC, a nonprofit organization that provides programs and services for people with autism, held Walk for WORC Force on Sept. 18 at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow.
The fundraising event helped to support a new Life’s WORC initiative to create a new, multi-purpose facility called WORC Force. Life’s WORC opened the The Family Center For Autism (FCA) in 2015.
Scheduled to open in 2023, WORC Force will be a 24,000-square-foot building offering a gymnasium, cafeteria, outside open grounds, and multiple training, recreation, and educational rooms to help enhance the employment and life skills of people with special needs.
