**Double Adoption and Senior Alert** LJ and Midnight are a very special pair of 17-year-old bonded brothers who found themselves without a home after their owner passed away. They can always be found following each other around or snuggling. LJ and Midnight are just looking for a family that will return all the love that they give them. They must be adopted together.
Rafi is a 1-year-old little boy who is still a kitten at heart! He has broken out of his shell in his foster home and is looking for a family who likes to play as much as he does. Rafi adores attention and will give just as much back to you. He would be a perfect addition to any family as he is great with both cats and dogs.
Timmy Turner is a 5-month-old kitten who was found roaming the streets alone earlier this summer. He is a snuggle bug who is just looking for that extra love he missed out on as a baby. Timmy equally enjoys playing with other cats and having alone time with his toys.
Just in time for fall festivities! Pumpkin Spice was recently saved from the kill list after being found on the streets alone. This 6-year-old boy is very excited for his second chance at life. He would love a home with lots of space to run around and play. If you are looking for a new companion for the snuggle season, Pumpkin Spice is your guy! He is great with other people and dogs, but no cats.
Akira was saved from the ACC a few months ago after being placed on the at-risk list. She was not doing well in the shelter environment. The day she arrived at Lend-a-Paw they were immediately greeted with tail wags, tons of kisses, and that amazing smile of hers! Akira is a very gentle and loving little girl. She is 3 years old, loves people, and is great with other dogs. Akira cannot be in a home with cats.
Available for adoption at the Smithtown Animal Shelter
Angel is an 8-year-old Blue Nose Pit who has been a resident of the Smithtown Animal Shelter for over four years. After all this time in the shelter, she is more than ready to find the perfect family for her to love. She is very smart and strong, and she enjoys car rides, food, and splashing in the kiddie pool. Angel can be stubborn sometimes, so she will require an experienced owner who can provide her with some structure. She has a history of mast cell tumors and will need a home that can keep an eye out for new growths so they can be removed immediately. Angel should be the only pet in the household, and she would do well in a home with older kids who don’t mind her energy.
If you are interested in meeting Angel, please fill out an application to schedule time to properly interact with her in a domestic setting, which includes the shelter’s Meet and Greet Room, dog runs, and Dog Walk trail. Call 631-360-7575 for more information.
Available for adoption through Tender Loving Cats
Meet Budweiser! This lovable and handsome 7-year-old boy loves attention! He’ll find his favorite furry ball or mouse and carry it around the house. He’s quiet and independent and just loves to hang out around people or sit in a nice sunny spot. Budweiser does well with other cats and children but not dogs. He must go into a household with no dogs.
Budweiser walked into a feral colony in Brentwood where volunteers were trapping. He was so sweet & friendly but less than two days after being trapped, his health began to decline. He was rushed to the emergency vet and it was found that he a urinary blockage and the decision was made for him to have Perineal Urethrostomy Surgery so that he would never block again. Budweiser is lucky because without being rescued he would not have survived on the streets much longer. He will need to have his urinary PH monitored or be kept on urinary food along with being given cyclosporine to help keep his allergies at bay.
TLC will cover his RX food & medication to any approved adopter at their cost for his lifetime. For more information about adopting Budweiser, please complete an adoption application here: tenderlovingcats.org/adoption-application.html.
Available for adoption at North Shore Animal League America
**Double Adoption** One-year-olds Edward Cullen (Adoption #PR00061) and Charlie Chaplin (Adoption # PR00062) started their rescue story in a foster home together in Puerto Rico, but it wasn’t until they reconnected in a room in Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center that a true bond developed. Edward clearly finds confidence in being in Charlie’s company, and although Charlie is quite shy, he too feels safer when his friend is nearby. Wouldn’t you love to see them snuggling in your living room?
**Double Adoption** Five-month-old Fred (Adoption #H211289) and George (Adoption #H211290) were recently welcomed into the Animal League America family when their local rescuer brought them to ensure a safer life for the pair. While life on the streets is hard for kittens, getting used to indoor life has them cautiously optimistic things may be working out for the better. You’ll find Fred and George zooming around their room playing with all the toys, with Fred ready for ear rubs when offered. George is still learning that gentle hands yield rewards. That’s why a quiet, predicable home (with children over age 8 and cat-experienced adults) will help these brothers settle into family life. With a little nurturing, you’ll be rewarded with some gentle head bumps and a ton of gratitude!
**Double Adoption** Thomas (Adoption #BF3704) and Simon (Adoption #BF3707) have their 2nd birthday coming up this month and Animal League America wants to give them the ultimate birthday present: finding them their forever family! These sweet, bonded brothers lost their first home due to illness but hopefully they can spend their upcoming birthday (and all their future birthdays) with the lucky humans who get to love on them forever!
**Senior Alert** Marley’s (Adoption #R112512) expressive eyes are searching for an ally to help her in the pursuit of a new home after losing her life-long residence recently. This tenderhearted 14-year-old tabby is melting hearts with those eyes and has even been seeking solace in her roommates—an unusual sight to see from a cat who lived her life without cat companionship. Her remarkable ability to open herself to new opportunities at her age has everyone completely smitten. She’s an ideal choice for any family, especially one looking for a companion for their senior at home. Vets recently diagnosed Marley with Chronic Renal Disease, and put together a simple plan for continued health, covered at cost through Animal League America’s Pet Health Centers. You’ll become an instant hero when you choose Marley as your new best friend, but Marley just might save you.
**Double Adoption** Locally rescued 4-month-old kittens Olympia (Adoption #BF4173) and Argos (Adoption #BF4175) spent time with Animal League America nurturers to help relearn their affinity for humans. Now they’re prepared for their next great adventure, equipped with the confidence they gained from their devoted friends. You’ll discover exploring every toy is a top priority for them! Olympia has always been ready for her big opportunity of finding a family, but she waited by Argos’ side until he felt ready too. While he’s still a little apprehensive about lots of pets, he is easily won over with treats. Invite this adorable sibling pair into your predictable home, one with children over 12 years old and adults experienced in settling in formerly fearful friends, and you’ll find them captivating the hearts of your entire family in no time!
**Double Adoption** Four-month-old Athens (Adoption #BF4174) and 5-month-old Licorice (Adoption #H211645) were two older kittens who were the odd men out in their litters. Fortunately, they found each other in a sunny room at Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center. Now you’ll find Athens’ slightly more perky purrsonality bringing out the best in his shy buddy, Licorice. A home experienced in settling in shyer kitties (with children over age 8) ready to provide a predictable setting will make Athens and Licorice feel very secure.
*Double Adoption** From Bianca’s Furry Friends with love, Secret Agents 007 (Adoption #H211659) and Bond (Adoption #H211660) want the world to know they’re ready to spy every inch of their new home, as long as they can do it together! These lucky, locally rescued 6-month-old kittens have been by each other’s side from birth; these brothers brighten up whenever they’re together. 007 and Bond are an awesome choice for any home setting. Let 007 and Bond be the feline spies who love you!
