**Special Request – Senior Alert** What sweetheart, 10-year-old Hollie needs is a home that will care for her special needs and love her unconditionally. This beautiful and affectionate girl was taken in as a stray. She had suffered long term bilateral ear infections that caused her heavy scarring of her outer ears, severe thickening of her ear canals, hearing loss, and incredible pain. The hard decision was made to remove both of her ears to let her know a pain free existence. Hollie went through the first surgery like a champ, never stopping her undying affection for everyone. She will have her second surgery shortly, and then will be ready for her home. She is social with other cats and all people. As a result of the surgery, Hollie may temporarily or permanently lose her ability to blink one or both eyes (only time will tell), so a potential home will have to be able to lubricate her eyes several times a day for her.
If you are interested in helping Hollie start her next chapter, please call 631-360-7575 for more information.
Available for adoption through Tender Loving Cats
Meet Pops! Born December 2017, this playful character has a rather strong purr machine built into that “bob cat”-like structure. He is extremely vocal and does everything in his power to always be by your side. Pops loves to throw himself in front of your feet so this way you can’t leave. He enjoys some good string toys to chase around and lazy time sleeping on the cat scratchers. To adopt Pops, complete an adoption application here: https://www.tenderlovingcats.org/adoption-application.html.
Available for adoption at the Babylon Animal Shelter
**Senior Alert** Seven-year-old Cece is the bomb.com! This super senior is great with all ages of humans yet thrives as an only dog. All she really needs now is a home to love her unconditionally. Perhaps it’s yours?
The name Floki refers to a joyful and zany fella, and this Floki won’t disappoint! This 3– to 4-year-old fella does great with all people big and small. He’s OK with other dogs but would do best as an only dog in the house.
For more information about adopting Cece or Floki, email the shelter at babylonvolunteers@gmail.com.
Available for adoptions from Lend-a-Paw Inc.
Stefania was found in the parking lot of Hofstra University when she was pregnant. She is a fan favorite at the rescue! Stefania is the biggest mush ball and just wants to be loved. She is estimated to be 3 to 4 years old, loves people, and is an amazing snuggler. If you are looking for a lap cat that will give you lots of love, Stefania is your girl!
**Double Adoption** Logan and Luna are the most adorable, bonded duo you could ask for. They are about 4 to 5 months old and were brought to Lend-a-Paw by a volunteer who found them in the streets of Freeport. They were so scared but opened up slowly. After receiving proper medical care, they still had partial vision loss but that hasn’t stopped them from being just as playful as the other kittens. They love playing with their toys just as much as a good snuggle. If you are looking for a pair of kittens that are the best of friends, Logan and Luna are your match!
Scar is a 1- to 2-year-old tabby cat who was found along with her other kitten siblings in the Bronx last year. He is the last left and no one knows why! He has such an amazing personality. Scar is the first to greet any potential adopters in the cat room. He loves playing with toys but loves getting all the pets from people more than anything! Scar would make an amazing addition to any family. If you are looking for a snuggly lap cat to be the most amazing companion, Scar is your guy!
Scooby was surrendered in January of 2021 and had been in and out of foster homes since. He was lucky enough to have eventually found an amazing, patient, and understanding foster in Syracuse who has worked and trained with Scooby over the past few months. He is about 3 years old, good with other dogs, and is a big cuddle bug who likes to be by your side. Scooby would do best in a home with older children since he still loves to run and jump around. He will require a home that can keep up with his active lifestyle.
Emma was just saved from the euthanasia list after being brought into the New York City shelter as a stray. She is intelligent, social, and eager to please her favorite person. Emma loves to play with any toys she can get her paws on, whether it’s a game of fetch with her human or keeping herself entertained with a chew toy. She is about 2 years old, 39 pounds, and microchipped. Emma would flourish with someone patient who is willing to work on her manners, as she has tons of energy and can jump when excited.
