Westbury Arts held its 2022 Black and White Gala at Westbury Manor on Wednesday, Nov. 9.
Guests were treated to an evening of music, dinner, dancing, and cocktails, as well as the opportunity to celebrate three of Westbury Arts’ most ardent and generous supporters: Jackie and Ben Pardo, and Joe Stasi. The honorees were also recognized for their contributions to the Westbury community as a whole, as all three have demonstrated a lifetime of dedication to the betterment of the village.
Among those who came out to honor the Pardos and Mr. Stasi were Village of Westbury Mayor Peter Cavallaro, Deputy Mayors Steven Corte and Beaumont Jefferson, Trustee Bill Wise, Nassau County Legislator Laura Schaefer, and North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jennifer DeSena. The honorees also received proclamations from State Sen. Anna Kaplan, certificates of recognition from Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Kevan M. Abrahams, and letters of recognition from New York State Assembly Member Charles Lavine.
Westbury Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is committed to delivering arts and cultural programs that connect, educate, and inspire the community, and the annual fall fundraiser event is instrumental to supporting that mission. Guests bought raffle tickets and bid on a number of luxury items in the silent auction, which included several beautiful original paintings. The 2022 Black and White Gala was Westbury Arts’ most successful fundraiser to date and was truly an evening to celebrate.
