As a celebration of Thanksgiving, third-grade Brownies from Girl Scout Troop 557 dedicated one of their meetings to a special service project to help the homeless in local areas and NYC. The girls worked with Manhasset’s own Marci Quinn and her charity, One Love Outreach Mission (https://www.oneloveom.org), to assemble 75 Necessity Bags for those less fortunate. The bags contain everyday essentials including warm socks, shampoo, a toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, and granola bars – personal items that make a person feel cared for and loved. This was a wonderful way for the girls to express their gratitude and thankfulness during the holiday season.
