The Ronkonkoma-based Association for Mental Health and Wellness elected Yunis to its board of directors. Yunis runs a private marriage and family therapy practice based in Deer Park, is co-founder and chair of Muslim Women of Long Island, and is a licensed marriage and family therapist, trauma specialist, motivational speaker, and community leader.

Dr. Edmond Hakimi

Wellbridge Addiction Treatment and Research appointed Hakimi as its medical director. He is a highly renowned board-certified internal medicine physician with fellowship training in addiction medicine from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, where he currently serves as part time faculty. He specializes in treating patients with substance-use disorders and concurrent psychiatric diagnoses while conducting clinical research to develop novel treatments for these disorders.

Catholic Health’s St. Joseph Hospital has named Nelson as its new president, who will oversee all areas of operations at St. Joseph Hospital, with a particular focus on executing strategies for growth, continued improvement in quality and patient experience, while boosting employee engagement and workforce development. Most recently, he served as vice president of operations for NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island, formerly Winthrop-University Hospital.
