Comedian and television host Trevor Noah will appear at LIU Post’s Tilles Center for the Performing Arts for “A Conversation with Trevor Noah” on March 7, 2023.
Noah, the former host of late night TV’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, will engage in an intimate conversation with a moderator who has not yet been announced. After seven years on The Daily Show, Noah will reflect during his evening at The Tilles Center before heading onto a new venture, his 2023 “Off the Record” world tour.
“As we continue to strive to advance and elevate our offerings, we are thrilled to have Trevor Noah take the stage for an intimate moderated conversation at Tilles Center,” said Tom Dunn, executive director of The Tilles Center. “Trevor is literally the first artist I reached out to when I assumed this post in August. I’ve been a longtime fan of his, having long admired his ability to combine directness, grace, and humor in tackling the critical issues of our day.
“Under his leadership at The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Trevor broke free from the restraints of a 30-minute linear show, producing engaging social content, award-winning digital series, podcasts and more for its global audience,” Dunn added. “It’s an absolute honor to host him here at Tilles Center and Long Island University.”
Noah is a Grammy-nominated stand-up comedian and bestselling author of Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood. He also hosted the Grammy Awards in 2021 and 2022, and he will host the ceremony again in 2023.
The comedian has written, produced, and starred in 12 comedy specials, including his most recent Netflix special, I Wish You Would, which debuted in November.
