This week’s lineup has some of the sweetest cats and dogs ready to go home with you today! But while there are lots of animals safely residing in local shelters/rescues, let’s not forget about the outdoor animals who could use a helping hand, including a safe and warm shelter this winter.
If you’re a caretaker of outdoor animals looking for inexpensive shelter options, Long Islander Lisa Fanizza-Ciaburri has shelters on hand for just $15! For more information, contact Lisa directly at 631-457-3880.
Available for adoption at the Town of Smithtown Animal Shelter
**Double Adoption** Meow and Minion are a pair of bonded 8-month-old Domestic Short Hair brothers who were found as strays and trapped as part of the shelters Trap-Neuter-Release program. They are initially a little timid and take some time to trust people, but once they open up to you, they’re absolute balls of affection who love to purr and play. Minion had a badly injured eye that had to be removed, but he has fully recovered and is now happy and healthy. Meow and Minion can be adopted together or separately, and they would prefer a home without children.
Hours at the Smithtown Animal Shelter are currently Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Sundays and Wednesday evenings are by appointment only). To inquire about Meow and Minion or to meet your potential soulmate, please call the Smithtown Animal Shelter at 631-360-7575.
Available for adoption at North Shore Animal League America
**Double Adoption** There’s no better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than bringing home two young lovers! Four-year-old Flux (Adoption #LA2192) and 3-year-old Alutia (Adoption #GR6629), rescued from two separate southern shelters, met and fell in love in their quiet room in Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center. An experienced home (with children over age 12) will help these sweethearts settle into the tranquility of their very first love nest.
**Double Adoption and Senior Alert** Please wish 14-year-old Pearl (Adoption #SPC315) and her daughter, 8-year-old Piper (Adoption #SPC314), a very happy birthday! This lovely family is enjoying a quiet lifestyle in the room they share in Bianca’s Furry Friends; a similar setting (with no children and patient, experienced adults) will lead to the happiness they deserve to share in their golden years. Want to give these tentative gals the best birthday presents ever? Ask about taking them into your heart and home.
Six-month-old King (Adoption #H212094) may be little, but he’s prepared to rule your heart—once he gets to know you. This tiny but mighty monarch was rescued locally and coached by his devoted North Shore Animal League America minions on how to trust the humans. He’s still a bit weary of visitors, but once he gets to know you, he’s thrilled to receive attention, right in your lap! King is looking for a peaceful household (with kids over age 12 and experienced adults) to help him settle into his new home. Essential to his happiness is a confident cat friend to guide him; he’ll learn so much about trust by leaning on his new feline buddy. If you have a cat at home missing a good friend to mentor, King is ready to rule their heart too!
**Double Adoption** Can your household handle this much cuteness? Five-month-olds Bon Bon (Adoption #LA3956) and her loyal side kick Butch (Adoption #LA3965) are ready to prance around your living room right now. This bonded duo is aware that the long road from Louisiana will eventually lead them to a forever home. Don’t hesitate if you’ve been dreaming of adding a purrfect pair to your family because Bon Bon and Butch have their dreams too, and they’re ready to live them out together with you! Come meet these two at Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center – remember, when you adopt you save two lives: the animal you take home and the one you make room for us to rescue. If you adopt Bon Bon and Butch, you’re saving four lives!
**Double Adoption** Lilly (Adoption #LA3958) and her best friend (and brother) Peck (Adoption #LA3964) are ready to make a big enough impression to attract their forever family. Having traveled all the way from an overcrowded southern municipal shelter, these tenacious 7-month-old tuxedos won’t let anything stand in the way of their purrmanent happiness. All that’s missing is you. Pick Lilly and Peck and be prepared to share their gratitude for finally finding a home where they belong!
**Double Adoption** All the way from Puerto Rico, 8-month-olds Arroz (Adoption #PR00203) and Frijole (Adoption #PR00204) go together like rice and beans! They’re overcoming their shyness, now confident enough to meet new situations with a best friend by their side furever. A little time, patience, and treats will open up these sweet, bonded boys to the opportunities of a safe life indoors in their first real home. Children over 12 years old will ease them into family life, offering them the stability and predictability they need to feel safe. How would you like to celebrate all of their firsts with them? Come by Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center and ask for an introduction to this cute kitty combo.
Looking for a tender tuxedo addition to your family? Three-year-old Redcedar (Adoption #T106262) has just the understated southern charm to stealthily steal your heart! This lovely lady hails from Tennessee originally, but she’s put her country roots behind her and is ready to settle into the hearts of her new family up north. A little peace and quiet goes a long way in letting her shine brightly. We just can’t get enough of her tiny white boots, and she can’t get enough of the ear rubs we offer! Want to brighten both your days? Ask Redcedar to join your family.
