3 New Restaurants To Try on Long Island
THE BRASS SWAN
A new upscale restaurant has opened in Roslyn, and its cuisine is “classic American reimagined,” according to The Brass Swan’s website. The restaurant opened in fall 2022 and has since received positive reviews for its modern takes on American favorites, such as the sesame tuna ($22), mac and cheese ($17), chicken scallopini ($23), and Swan burger ($18).
The restaurant-lounge has a classy feel to it while serving up deliciously modern American fare. The bar holds Happy Hour from Tuesday through Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m., when patrons can get buy-one-get-one-free cocktails. There is also a special of $7 glasses of rose for ladies every Thursday night from 5 to 8 p.m.

JUST SALAD
The New York City-based fast-casual eatery Just Salad recently opened its first Long Island location in Commack. The restaurant chain’s mission is to bring health and sustainability to the communities it serves, doing right by its motto “eat with purpose.” Its signature Reusable Bowl Program encourages patrons to buy a reusable bowl and get a free salad topping each time they use it there.
Just Salad’s menu contains several seasonal salad options, such as winter harvest ($11.99) and maple crispy chicken ($12.69), and features a menu of “iconic salads,” including the crispy chicken poblano ($12.69), Thai chicken crunch ($11.99), and Tokyo supergreens ($12.69). The menu is actually not “just salad,” but also offers other healthy choices such as avocado toast, soups, wraps, and smoothies.
The restaurant plans to open three more locations this year in Westbury, Huntington, and Oceanside.
