Matt Damon, Casey Affleck Filming New Movie on Long Island
A new movie starring Matt Damon and Casey Affleck has been filming at various locations on Long Island this week, including in East Meadow.
The film, The Instigators, takes place in Boston, Mass., but filmed inside Nassau University Medical Center and Nassau County Correctional Center on Monday and Tuesday, according to reports. The county’s East Meadow hospital posted about the film shoot in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
“Quiet on the set!” the post says. “Our team was proud to welcome Matt Damon, Casey Affleck and Hong Chau to NUMC this week to film part of a new movie. We are always excited to showcase our facility and the incredible people who work here. Thank you to Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman for helping to coordinate this project.”
The Instigators, directed by Doug Liman and written by Chuck Maclean and Casey Affleck, is a heist thriller film. The cast also includes actress Hong Chau, who was also filming on Long Island this week, and hip-hop musician Jack Harlow.
The movie is an Apple original film that will be streaming on Apple TV+ when it is released.
