Long Islander Crowned Ms. New York Senior America 2023 at Annual Talent Pageant
Mae Caime, of Coram, was crowned the 2023 Ms. New York Senior America during the 38th annual Ms. New York Senior America Pageant and Gala Dinner Dance at the Bayway Arts Theater in East Islip on May 7.
The Long Island native is a nursing health and safety supervisor/compliance officer in production working with NBC, Netflix, Disney, and Focus, as well as an active health fitness advocate, corporate trainer, and employment coach. She was recognized for her energy, engaging style, originality and leadership skills.
“I have always supported and pushed woman to rise up and step out of the comfort zone to learn new skills for personal or professional growth, to embrace discomfort to gain resilience, and to try new things that ignite a sense of adventure and excitement for life,” Caime says.
The New York Senior America contest is not a beauty pageant, but rather a competition based on public speaking, interviewing, and talent. It is an opportunity for like-minded women over 60 to connect to one another and to be disciplined and focused toward a goal.
Caime will now move on to the Senior America National Pageant in the months ahead.
