This past Saturday, August 12, 2023, Shay Way and her Ensemble performed jazz and soul music to a crowd of guests in the Westbury community to support Mpact Outreach’s efforts.
Guests included Councilman Robert Tríano who presented Bishop Monzell Way, President of Mpact Outreach, with a proclamation recognizing his decades of service in the Nassau communities. There were raffles and giveaways as guest enjoyed scrumptious appetizers and Hors’ D Oeuvres served by students and members of the Westbury High School ROTC.
Poetry, abstract and portrait oil paintings were donated by local artist for the silent auction which took place. The evening concluded with guests dancing to the tune of Luther Vandross’ song “All my Love,” as Shay Way was accompanied by talented local musicians.
