Wantagh’s Warriors For a Cause is set to host the second ‘Night On The Town’ tasting event on Oct. 17 at Jericho Terrace in Mineola. The Michael Magro Foundation, Long Island’s nonprofit organization serving families with a child battling cancer, has been announced as one of its primary beneficiaries.
“Hundreds are expected to gather for this second tasting event produced by Warriors for a Cause,” the Michael Magro Foundation wrote in a news release. “The event, which will be held at Jericho Terrace in Mineola, NY, will feature the delights created by restaurants, bakeries, vineyards, and breweries from throughout the region. Each featured venue has graciously donated their offerings to help raise funds for Michael Magro Foundation and other local nonprofit organizations.”
Also set to be honored at the event is Marisa Kinsey Weigand, CEO of Kinsey Equities LLC, a real estate property management firm in New York City.
A portion of the proceeds will also benefit the James David Kinsey Jr. Memorial Fund.
The Michael Magro Foundation is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization founded by Paul and Terrie Magro to honor the life of their son Michael, who passed away from leukemia at age 13.
They work with the Cancer Center for Kids at NYU Langone Long Island Hospital, Stony Brook Children’s Cancer Division, and other NYU, Cohen’s, and Stony Brook, as well as with children’s hospitals throughout Florida.
