HAUNTED GRAVEYARD IS CANCELED

Christ Church Manhasset Hosts Haunted Graveyard Halloween Fundraiser
On October 28 from 6:30 to approximately 9 p.m., weather permitting, the historic graveyard at Christ Church Manhasset will be positively crawling with spookiness.
“We have different scary scenes, some live actors, some props; I can’t really give it all away, of course. The pathway will be lit for safety. There’s a couple of live characters who will explain their story very briefly, either how they died, or whatever gruesome facts they might want to tell. We have some gory-looking creatures and there will also be small performance that the audience is treated to. So if we look at trick or treat, not so many tricks; see some gory things and then receive a treat,” said Phyllis Sternemann, Christ Church Manhasset’s historian.
The Haunted Graveyard can accommodate groups up to 10 people and is best for ages 9 and up. For a donation of $10 per person you can walk the path as it meanders through the stones, if you dare.
This is a Haunted Attraction you can feel good about, even if you are scared: It’s a fundraiser for the church. “Some of the money will go to restore and protect the graveyard itself, as well as the urn garden where cremains are entombed,” said Sternemann.
