Ethel

*Senior Alert* Ethel is an older gal that found herself homeless when her owner was fatally hit by a car. She was taken in by a Good Samaritan and requested the help of TLC. Ethel loves to sit on your lap, on your bed, right next to you and be pet. She will purr and chirp to let you know how happy she is. She will actively seek out your attention. She is looking for a quiet retirement home and someone to give her lots love. Due to her long hair, she does need to be brushed regularly and she will repay you with lots of purrs. She is a dignified sweet beauty!

Oreo

*Senior Alert* No one is really sure why seven-year-old Oreo has been at the shelter for so long. He is as sweet as his name, walks nicely on a leash and loves to play ball…he’s even considered a professional fetcher! Oreo needs to be the only pet in a home with children 8 and up.

Mocha

*Senior Alert* Mocha arrived at the shelter this past August and has proven his love for toys almost as much as the pool! He may be able to live with other dogs but no cats. Can you open your heart and home to this sweet senior?

Titus

*Senior Alert* 10-year-old Titus was surrendered after being adopted 8 years ago from the shelter.  This adorable older gentleman is dog friendly, good on a leash and loves food! He would do best with children 8 and up, but no cats.

Available for adoption at the Town of Smithtown Animal Shelter

smokey

*Senior Alert* Super sweet senior, Smokey, was adopted from the shelter as a kitten and returned when his mom fell on hard times and had to move. This guy is all affection all of the time. He is as gentle as he is handsome and has lived with another cat in the past. Smokey has a clean bill of health and wants to be spoiled in his golden years. Could that be with you?

Buster

Buster is an energetic two year-old Chocolate Lab who was brought to the Animal Shelter after his old family found out they were having a baby. Buster loves all people, going for walks, and chowing down on some food. Buster has a happy smile that is impossible to resist. He is full of fun and can be a little rambunctious too! He has lived with a smaller dog in the past. Buster is a large and muscular dog who is very strong, so a potential home can only have older children and adults that understand boundaries.

Roxie was rescued and nursed back to health by a fellow rescue. This two-year-old girl is sweet and friendly and would do best in a home as the only dog. She does okay with cats. She has skin allergies that require a special diet but is overall low-maintenance and as loving as they come!

Bella

Bella came from the city shelter after her owner moved and couldn’t take her with them. She is beyond sweet and loves her butt scratches and getting lots of attention! She is good with young kids and other dogs. She is just the cutest muffin and everyone is excited to see Bella find her forever home!

Brie

Brie and her siblings were born in the Bronx earlier this year. After her mom was trapped, they were transported Lend-a-Paw for safety. Brie and her siblings are currently FeLV positive. They would not be able to be around other non-sick cats but can live happy, fulfilling lives with minimal treatment.

Diesel

Diesel is so sweet and gentle and loves to hang out with the other fosters. He is very playful, but never plays rough. He demands his kisses and loves spending time cuddled with his foster mom and sleeping on his foster dad’s lap.
