New

The ever-changing Long Island food scene welcomed several new additions in November. Here are some of the newest restaurants that Long Islanders can try.

NEW RESTAURANTS

THE RABBIT HOLE BAR & GRILL

Owner Stephen Rosenbluth opened his rebranded restaurant, The Rabbit Hole Bar & Grill, in Merrick on Nov. 29. His venue has taken various names in the past, most recently Anchor Down Seafood Bar & Grill. With the name changed comes a revamped menu with new staples.

Offerings range from small plates such as calamari, chicken wings and poutine, to soups, burgers, tacos and other entrees. Fish and chips, steak, short ribs and mac-and-cheese make up this section. The Rabbit Hole also boasts a diverse beverage menu as well as various cocktails, desserts, and dessert martinis for guests to enjoy.

BROOKLYN DIP & BURGER

Another comfort food option is the new Brooklyn Dip & Burger. After opening its first location in East Meadow in 2019, its Mineola sister location opened its doors on Nov. 20. Both locations serve their signature Brooklyn Roast Beef sandwich alongside other favorites.

The menu also features other meat items, such as burgers, steak sandwiches, chicken and tacos. Along with salads and large pretzels, Brooklyn Dip serves up fresh pizza as well. Add a series of beers and wine, and either location will give you a delicious night out.

One of the popular menu items is the Wizard of Oz (Woz) Roll, featuring tuna, salmon, yellowtail, white tuna, and avocado, among other flavors. Itsuki also features a variety of hibachi items, such as steak, shrimp, filet mignon and chicken, offering stand-alone items and combos in this regard. Add teriyaki, tempura, and sushi boats, and the restaurant provides a variety of items and a unique experience for guests.
