Three Long Island TGI Fridays locations are set to close, as has been widely reported, among 36 locations the restaurant chain declared “underperforming.”
The three locations are at 1725 Sunrise Hwy. in Bay Shore, 3045 Express Dr. North in Islandia, and 5204 Sunrise Hwy. in Massapequa Park.
Several of the restaurants remain on Long Island, with locations in Riverhead, Farmingville, Central Islip, Westbury, Levittown, Rockville Centre and Valley Stream.
It’s not the first shocking closing of a popular restaurant chain on Long Island recently. To the surprise of many, California Pizza Kitchen at Smith Haven Mall closed in December, leaving only one location remaining on the island.
