Pop.Earth (short for Population Earth; We Are One) the Long Island based autism and special needs charity hosted its 6th Annual “Holiday Hop with Pop” at the ” Huntington Harbor Boating Club” in Huntington.
Steve Smith, Ron Krapf and the board of the Boating Club generously donated the space overlooking the harbor to host the free to attend party for those with special needs.
Attendees and their families were treated to dinner, dancing, presents and a special visit from Santa, Mrs. Claus and friends, courtesy of Vinny Bifano and the Huntington Manor Fire Department.
Chef David Buico who owns Mercato Cucina in Huntington Station and Frank Antonetti from 1653 Pizza Company in Huntington donated all of the hot food. It was truly a magical night thanks to all of the generous sponsors and donors who made it possible.
Geraldine Del Prete who took the helm as Pop.Earth’s new board chair earlier this year commented it was her first year as host of the holiday party and “was thrilled to be a part of something that allowed this often overlooked group to experience the joy of the holidays”. Pop.
