Movers and Shakers: New Hires And Promotions On Long Island This Month

Here are the promotions and new hires on Long Island from the January 2024 edition of the Long Island Press!

Julie Robinson-Tingue

FCA, one of Nassau County’s oldest and largest nonprofit health and human services organizations, named Robinson-Tingue chief of staff. In this newly created position, she will report directly to President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Jeffrey L. Reynolds. She will be tasked with maximizing efficiencies across FCA to help expand the number of people it can serve, cultivating increased communication across FCA’s divisions, and continuing to strengthen a culture of value and inclusion among FCA employees by closely partnering with front line teams and administrators.

Kyle Strober
Strober, executive director of the Association for a Better Long Island, (ABLI) has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the New York State Economic Development Council (NYSEDC). Strober brings over a decade of experience and expertise to the Board having served as U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer’s Long Island Regional Director prior to his current role as the Executive Director of the ABLI.

Gail Prudenti

Prudenti, a partner in the law firm of Burner Prudenti Law, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Nassau County AHRC Foundation, Inc., where she will help advance the foundation’s mission and ensure the long-term sustainability of programs that support children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Long Island. She was previously Presiding Justice of the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department.

Rohan Howell

Farmingdale State College (FSC) appointed Howell as vice president for enrollment management. Reporting to FSC President John S. Nader, PhD, Howell will take senior leadership of the Division of Enrollment Management. He will serve as a member of the President’s Cabinet and provide strategic direction for the development and implementation of a data-informed strategic enrollment plans, reflecting higher education trends and campus goals, with particular focus on market analysis and positioning.

Bassett was elected Treasurer of Public Relations Professionals of Long Island. She is President and Founder of Diana Bassett Public Relations in Bayside.

Mark Pollack
Protegrity Advisors, a leading M&A advisory firm headquartered in Ronkonkoma, appointed Pollack as its new president. Pollack was previously the co-founder, president and CEO of Sage Parts, a world leader in the aftermarket aviation ground support equipment sector. Under Mark’s leadership, the company transformed the aftermarket for aviation GSE, and built Sage Parts from 3 employees to over 350 employees, with more than 24 locations on 5 continents, generating annual revenues in excess of $125 Million and cumulative revenue of over $2 billion.

Ordonez was elected a Director of Public Relations Professionals of Long Island. She is currently the Senior Marketing Specialist at Rivkin Radler, LLP in Uniondale.
