The Port Washington Chamber of Commerce SOUPer Bowl is always a welcome respite from the cold winter weather. This year was no exception as the day was chilly but the spirit inside the Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church was warm and bright. SOUPer Bowl, in its seventeenth year, has turned into one of the premiere foodie events on Long Island!

Hundreds of enthusiastic and hungry visitors attended and all received a warm, filling and tasty lunch and a fun-filled afternoon. It was held on Feb. 3 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.. Those who came were offered samples of soups from twelve of Port Washington’s best restaurants and markets and then cast their ballots for the 2024 SOUPer Bowl Champ.

Many of the people who came to taste the soups said all the soups were so good that they had a hard time picking the best. Obviously, the participating restaurants took pride in their offering and all came away winners.

Chamber president Debbie Greco Cohen was very pleased with the success of the event and asked everyone to reserve Feb. 1, 2025 (the first Saturday in February) for Port Washington’s SOUPer Bowl XVIII.
