Town of North Hempstead Councilmember Mariann Dalimonte recently congratulated Lourdes Oliva Taglialatela for her many years of tireless and passionate work with St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Port Washington. Taglialatela, who served as the Director of the Parish Outreach program, has been an invaluable resource for the Church and leaves behind a wonderful legacy of volunteerism and compassion.

In addition to the Parish Outreach, Taglialatela served on the Project Independence Senior Advisory Board, the Nassau County Department of Social Services Income Supports Committee, and the Long Island Cares HPNAP Advisory Board, among many other wonderful endeavors.

Councilmember Dalimonte noted that she was fortunate to team up with Taglialatela and other volunteers during the pandemic, as she was instrumental in getting food, medicine, necessities, and other assistance to so many elderly and home-bound residents throughout the greater Port Washington community. Councilmember Dalimonte presented Taglialatela with a Proclamation of Recognition in honor of her immense service to the Town of North Hempstead.
