On Friday, May 4, Westbury Arts held its 2024 Wine Tasting Fundraiser at The Bristal in Westbury. Led by event sommelier Sia Zarisfi, renowned sommelier and wine enthusiast, guests were treated to a guided tasting of wines from California’s iconic wine regions for a California Dreaming theme. To complete the experience, each wine was thoughtfully paired with delicious bites by Westbury Arts’ culinary team of Anne and Chuck Albano and Maureen Baranov. The evening included trivia and raffles, and a special acknowledgement of profound appreciation for Founding Member, Assistant Treasurer, and long-time Board Member Connie Locascio, who is moving out of state and will be sorely missed by the organization and the Westbury community.
This tasty and fun event was made possible by the efforts of Westbury Arts volunteers, led by Development Committee Chair Ren Zelaya, and by The Bristal staff, led by Director of Community Relations Michelle Caio. Event sponsors included Peter and Diane Cavallaro, Julie Lyon and Tom Cabrera, Beaumont and Luisa Jefferson, Anne and Chuck Albano, Rowan Team – Compass, and Mattone Group Management. Westbury High School and NJROTC volunteers were also on hand to wait tables and help ensure the event ran smoothly.
