Town of North Hempstead Councilmember Mariann Dalimonte is proud to announce the return of PedalShare, the popular bike share program, in Port Washington. The agreement with PedalShare Inc. was brought forth by Councilmember Dalimonte and was unanimously approved during a Town Board meeting in September 2021.

“I am so excited to welcome PedalShare back to Port Washington,” said Councilmember Dalimonte. “This incredible program helps promote eco-friendly transportation while allowing residents and visitors to discover all that our wonderful community has to offer.”

PedalShare is a bike share program on Long Island with more than 200 bikes and 50 stations. As part of the program here in North Hempstead, stations are located at Town Dock, Manorhaven Beach Park, and the Port Washington Long Island Rail Road Station. PedalShare maintains the bikes, and the program is offered at no cost to the Town.

Bikes can be accessed using the PedalShare App which is available for smartphones. Rentals cost $4 per hour, $35 per day, or $59 annually. For more information on PedalShare, please visit: www.ridepedalshare.com
