On Tuesday, May 21, the Jericho School District is hosting its 2024-25 Board of Education election and budget vote. The vote will take place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Middle School/High School gym located at 99 Cedar Swamp Rd.
According to the Jericho Budget Bulletin released this month, “Jericho’s Board of Education unanimously adopted the proposed 2024-2025 school district budget of $139,846,284 at the March 21, 2024 Board Meeting. The $115,460,399 tax levy to support the adopted budget represents a 3.25 percent increase, which is below the New York State Tax Cap calculation.”

There are two seats on the Board of Education up for re-election this year and there are four candidates running. The candidates are Jenn Camhi, Shewar Khan, incumbent Samuel Perlman and incumbent Jennifer Vartanov.
