While Long Island is not known for having an abundance of what would traditionally be called a rooftop bar or restaurant, there are several you should consider checking out as the temperatures rise.
RHUM ISLAND-INSPIRED CUISINE & RUM BAR
Known for its island-inspired cuisine and tropical cocktails, RHUM is a three-story restaurant on Main Street in Patchogue. Its rooftop bar is the only one in Patchogue, and it’s half inside and half outside. The rooftop is open and staffed for the spring on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (weather permitting) after 3 p.m. In the summer, it will be open every day for service. Guests can enjoy food and drinks for a complete dining experience.

ROOFTOP 32 AT KASEY’S KITCHEN AND COCKTAILS
Above Kasey’s Kitchen and Cocktails, Rooftop 32 offers guests a spacious outdoor space, which they gravitate to once the weather warms up for obvious reasons. On the menu are small plates, appetizers, and handcrafted cocktails (and don’t forget the frozen piña coladas, margaritas, and strawberry daiquiris). Live music happens regularly.

In addition to its menu of Italian pasta classics, brick-oven pizza, seafood, and steaks, Mannino’s Italian Kitchen & Lounge offers a rooftop lounge that guests can enjoy when the weather permits. Catch up with a colleague over lunch or take someone special out for a date dinner. The bar is fully stocked with top-shelf liquors, and the menu offers craft cocktails, wine, and beers.

BAYVUE
If you’re looking for views of the Great South Bay, try BayVue in Lindenhurst. The full rooftop menu offers a poke bowl or sushi roll, or you can grab some mozzarella sticks, crispy calamari, or cheese quesadillas on the happy hour menu. As for the cocktail menu, the martini lover has a range of variations to choose from.
