Family & Children’s Association (FCA) Long Island’s leading health and human services nonprofit organization recently announced the addition of Kara Cannon, Chief Executive Officer of Enzo Biochem to the Board of Trustees.
“We’re so fortunate to welcome Kara to the Board of Trustees,” said FCA President and CEO, Dr. Jeffrey L. Reynolds. “As [a Long Islander, she is] familiar with the growing challenges of the region and [is] committed to helping us make a difference right here at home.”
Board Chair Drew S. Crowly added, “Kara [is] a welcomed addition to our board. [Her] extensive career and background will bring new perspective and I look forward to working with [her].”
Kara Cannon is the Chief Executive Officer of Enzo Biochem, a publicly traded life sciences company with global operations. She has over 30 years of experience in the life sciences industry at Enzo Biochem, Pall Corporation, and Dynal Corporation. Her technical expertise and ability to connect international teams have delivered powerful results throughout her career.
Ms. Cannon is passionate about fostering talent for the future. She serves on the Board of Directors for New York Bio and the Foundation Board for Farmingdale State College and is an advisor to the School of Health Professions at the New York Institute of Technology. Dedicated to using her expertise to build the next generation of life sciences leaders, she is also a founding member of a New York-based mentoring program for life sciences entrepreneurs affiliated with Stony Brook University. Her career achievements have been repeatedly recognized as one of the Top 50 Long Island Most Influential Women in Business and as one of the Top 25 Women Leaders in Biotechnology.
