The office of Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) hosted a blood drive at the Syosset Fire Department on Friday, June 28. Over 30 donors participated in the event.
The contributions from the blood drive will help save almost 100 lives. Platelet donors contributed as well. Each donor received a pair of New York Mets tickets and Mets merchandise as a token of appreciation.
“I am so grateful to each and every person who came down to the fire department to give the gift of life and do their part to address our region’s ongoing blood shortage emergency,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “We thank the Syosset Fire Department, New York Blood Center and the Mets for being such outstanding partners in this crucial endeavor for District 16’s communities.”
