On July 9, Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker attended the North Shore Synagogue’s annual summer outing fundraiser. The event was held at the Woodside Club in Syosset.
The event was from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.. Attendees enjoyed activities such as golf, pickleball, mahjong and card games. The evening finished with a sit-down dinner and live music.
The summer fundraiser was held in support of the UJA Federation New York, which is a New York-based organization that hopes to build and support the Jewish community.
Drucker presented a Nassau Legislature Citation to Plainview’s Ginny McNulty at the event.
McNulty is a longtime synagogue member and currently serves as the North Shore Synagogue’s vice president.
“Whether by serving as the Synagogue vice president, rolling up her sleeves on committees or assisting at the religious school and main office, Ginny’s passion for the North Shore Synagogue faith community and supporting Jewish life on Long Island is evident,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said.
McNulty recently completed five years as the synagogue’s Sisterhood President and has shown commitment to community service in her time at the synagogue. Since the October 7 attack, she has offered support to the Jewish community.
Minority Leader Drucker continued: “I commend Ginny for her commitment to selfless service and thank North Shore Synagogue President Sondra Cardno, Rabbi Shalhevet and the entire congregation for dedicating themselves to improving lives in our community, bolstering Jewish philanthropy throughout our region, and steadfastly supporting Israel in the war against Hamas terror.”
