The Great Neck Plaza Summer Promenade Series is returning to Bond Street on Thursday, July 25 at 6:30 p.m.
The Plaza Summer Promenade offers a blend of al fresco dining and entertainment. For the July 15 promenade, musical guest Gathering Time will be coming back to perform.
In addition, high school musical theater standouts Alyssa Wong, Michelle Harris, and Grace Curry will also take the stage.
Great Neck South High School student Alyssa Wong won the inaugural Great Neck Plaza Music Challenge held on June 18. She will be performing Dyin’ Ain’t So Bad from Bonnie and Clyde along with a second selection. Michelle Harris, also from Great Neck South High School, will perform two selections, including In My Dreams from Anastasia. Student performer from Oyster Bay High School Grace Curry will deliver a rendition of When You’re Good to Momma from Chicago and a second selection.
Alyssa, Michelle and Grace were all competitors in the June 18 Music Fest Challenge. The competition was incredibly close, with the judges’ scores between the three differing by just three-tenths of a point, highlighting the remarkable talent of all three performers.
“The Great Neck Plaza Summer Promenade Series is a cherished tradition that brings our community together. We are thrilled to showcase the incredible talent of our local performers and provide an evening of entertainment for families and friends,” said Ron Edelson, executive director of the Great Neck Plaza Business Improvement District.
The summer promenade series is a production of the Great Neck Plaza Business Improvement District in collaboration with the Village of Great Neck Plaza.
The next Summer Promenade will be held on Thursday, Aug. 1. The location and entertainment is to be announced.
