Roslyn resident Parissa Eliassian was named Woman of the Month for July 2024 by the Professional Organization of Women of Excellence Recognized, commonly known as POWER.
Eliassian says she is humbled by the recognition from the organization.
“I am truly honored to receive this recognition for doing what I love – connecting buyers and sellers together to smoothly navigate a real estate transaction,” she said. “It is gratifying to know that my commitment to excellence has had a positive impact on the real estate industry and affected my community in a positive way.”
Eliassian was honored for her contributions to the real estate industry over the past 20 years. She is currently a real estate agent with Douglas Elliman Group.
Having resided on Long Island for 35 years, Eliassian began her career working for a Roslyn-based luxury builder before working on getting her real estate agent license.
She said she wanted to become a real estate agent to build a business of her own while enjoying her time working.
“It is very special to meet new people and make authentic connections as part of my work,” she said. “I strive to seamlessly integrate my extensive residential sales and development background with a genuine and empathetic approach.”
Born in Forest Hills, Queens, Eliassian earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Queens College before earning her master’s degree in counseling psychology from Long Island University, according to her biography with POWER. She said these experiences have earned her a reputation as an agent who understands what buyers and sellers want.
Eliassian is one of 14 women honored as July 2024’s Woman of the Month. She said she dedicates the award to her children, who motivate her to be the best version of herself.
“I’ve worked diligently to balance my career as a businesswoman along with my role as a wife, mother, and daughter, and I’ve felt so empowered by other women as I work to achieve my dreams,” she said. “I hope my success can serve as an inspiration to the next generation of businesswoman as they chart their own courses.”
Eliassian said she thanks her community for the support and POWER for the opportunity to be recognized in this manner.
“This achievement is a testament that with hard work, dedication and the trust of your community, you can achieve anything,” she said. While I may have been the one to receive the award, the credit belongs to all my amazing sellers, buyers, mentors and fellow colleagues.”
