Six Roslyn High School students have been named semifinalists in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Competition. The six are Ethan Berkowitz, Sarah Fernbach, Ethan Lee, Elaina Li, Benjamin Quadri and Anika Tolat.

The distinction is earned by scoring among the highest in the state on the Preliminary

SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

More than 15,000 of the over 16,000 Semifinalists are expected to advance to the Finalist level, and they will be notified of this designation in February 2025.

These academically talented high school seniors can continue in the competition for some 6,870 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million that will be offered next spring.
