The Sid Jacobson JCC of Roslyn hosted its first-ever Grandparents Day: Service with a Schmear this month. Grandparents and their grandchildren visited the JCC to enjoy breakfast and package necessities for the less fortunate.
Through the Sid Jacobson JCC’s Center for Community Engagement, members of the JCC and the greater Roslyn community come together to package essential non-perishable items for the JCC’s Community Needs Bank, which serves local individuals and families facing food insecurity.
To celebrate Grandparents Day while giving back to the community, the JCC organized its first-ever event where grandparents and their grandchildren could come together and give back to those in need.
