The Bryant Library’s Local History Collection is presenting a screening of “The Roslyn War Memorial Building,” a short film detailing the history of the building and its various uses before it became the library.
The screening will take place on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 2:00 p.m. to watch the short film, followed by a reception with light refreshments to celebrate the 103rd anniversary of the building’s 1921 dedication. Attendees will also enjoy art and exhibitions on display and tours of the Bryant Room with Archivists Carol Clarke and Ariel Morabito.
Established in 1953 as the Grist Mill Historical Collection, The Bryant Library Local History Collection is a public resource for information on the history and heritage of the Roslyn area, including Roslyn Village, Roslyn Heights, East Hills, Flower Hill, Roslyn Estates, Roslyn Harbor, and Greenvale. Our collections include historical photographs, news clippings, maps, manuscripts, personal/family papers, and a variety of artifacts. We have information on many topics and welcome both reference inquiries and contributions to our archive.
