While “Money Can’t Buy Me Love,” it can help underserved children in Manhasset and Great
Neck “Get By With A Little Help From Their Friends” through Adventures in Learning.

On Friday, Oct. 18 from 7-9 p.m., the public is invited to “Come Together” in the Congregational Church Parish Hall for a concert featuring Beatles cover band, Pre-Fab Four, the world’s premier live Beatles tribute act.

The church is located at 1845 Northern Blvd. in Manhasset (across from the Apple Store).

Not only did the 60s give us the Beatles, it also gave us Adventures in Learning thanks to the imagination and financial backing of The Congregational Church of Manhasset and church member Maggie Grundman, the Adventures’ first director of 30 years.

What started as an after- school tutorial program for at-risk 2nd and 3rd graders, has now blossomed into a K-6 educational and enrichment program dedicated to improving the lives of underserved Long Island children in need of after-school care and instruction.

Housed in the Hagedorn Community Center at the Manhasset/Great Neck EOC and the John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Great Neck, Adventures provides a warm and caring environment where children develop homework skills while benefiting from literary and math programs, STEM enrichment programs, and cultural activities.

Adventures provides an environment that nurtures the minds, bodies and souls of children from the formative years of early childhood through the impressionable years of pre-adolescence.

Fun, values-focused activities led by trained adult staff are offered for students each day after school at Adventures.

The activities focus on values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Funds raised at the Oct. 19 Beatles Tribute Concert will help perpetuate the vital work of
Adventures in Learning.
