Candidate Ruka Anzai’s Top 3 issues:

Crime reform: Anzai said she supports all law enforcement 100%. We are very lucky to live in Nassau County where crime rates are low due to the brave men and women in blue who protect us every day. Nassau County neighbors New York City, where Democrat legislation such as cashless bail laws has led to a spike in violent crime. She said she will never turn my back on all of our first responders. The word “hero” is of great significance to her. Anzai will fight to increase support for quality law enforcement.

Education: Anzai said we have some of the highest property taxes in America due to our excellent school systems. People from all over the country and the world move here because of our outstanding academic achievements. Anzai said she will make sure we increase funding for gifted programs and special education. She said she will always honor parents’ choice for curriculum and will take on the New York State Board of Education to create more flexibility for families when it comes to challenging topics.

Fair taxes: Anzai said we pay millions of dollars out of our pockets to Albany but receive little help in return. We must cut gas taxes, increase SALT deduction caps (consult with Nassau County Republican Committee on this), and create more neighborhood programs for our communities to benefit from.
