Bio: Dr. Ellen Lederer DeFrancesco is a longtime Oceanside resident, proud mother of two amazing daughters, dog mom, and wife of a veteran. A former New York City public school teacher, Ellen is dedicated to her community and public service. She holds a degree in International Business and a master’s degree in education from The George Washington University, as well as a master’s and doctorate in educational administration from Columbia University’s Teachers College. Ellen’s campaign is focused on solving real problems for real people. Endorsed by Newsday, Planned Parenthood, the Sierra Club, Eleanor’s Legacy, and recognized as a Moms Demand Action Gun Sense candidate, she has earned the trust of community organizations for her unwavering commitment to putting people over politics.
