Bio: Alexis Weik was elected on Nov. 3, 2020 to represent the 3rd Senate District and re-elected to represent the 8th District on Nov. 8, 2022. A lifelong resident of Suffolk County, Weik was raised in Ronkonkoma and Oakdale, graduated from Connetquot High School and earned degrees from Dowling College and Farmingdale State College.

She served as receiver of taxes for the Town of Islip from 2011-2020. As receiver, she made customer service her top priority, embracing a hands-on approach to assist taxpayers, streamline operations and improve the office’s efficiency. Weik is a member of a law enforcement family with both her husband and oldest son are sworn police officers.

She is a former small business owner. She lives, with her husband, in Sayville, on Long Island’s South Shore. The couple has three children.

  • Standing up for law enforcement, and demanding repeal of the disastrous bail laws to restore public safety.
  • Cutting the gas tax, reducing income taxes on middle class families and winning the fight to restore property tax rebates.
