New York UltraRunning presented the Woodbury Country Deli for its 25 years of sponsorship. The deli has continuously supported the 6 Hour 60th Birthday Celebration Run in Memory of Fred von der Heydt.
The deli received a plaque on Oct. 19 in honor of its support.
This year’s run was on Sept. 28 at Belmont Lake State Park. Raised funds were donated to the Long Island Firefighters Museum and the Northport Running Club Youth Program.
“We can’t thank our friends from the Deli enough,” said Event Director Myron Bellovin in a press release. “Their generous donation of hero sandwiches and other refreshments for the Run for the past 25 years has helped assure the continuing success of the event.”
The Woodbury Country Deli is located at 153 Woodbury Road.
