Jindal, 47, of Williston Park, is running on the Democratic Party line for Assembly District 19. He is making his second bid for public office, having run unsuccessfully for the 19th District Assembly seat in 2022.
Jindal holds degrees in engineering — specializing in town, city and county planning — from Guru Nanak Dev University in Punjab, India.
He immigrated to the United States, got married, had a family and became a businessman, running his own insurance brokerage company.

Jindal said he is running on a pro-education platform, wants to work toward equipping schools with proper infrastructure and if elected, plans to donate his Assembly salary to schools in his district. He said he would invest in “top-notch” facilitates and expand sports programs.

Jindal said property taxes are too high and wants to make the county more affordable for everyone, especially seniors. He said he would advocate for seniors by creating more senior-oriented programs in Nassau County.
Nassau Coliseum Casino + Safety:
Jindal said crime has skyrocketed in areas near Alephi University and Hofstra University. He said building a casino near those schools is not part of the economic development he’d like to see. He said he would prioritize the safety and future of children by calling for more funding for police to enhance safety, whereas he said a casino would bring increased crime, traffic and addiction.
