Fifth-graders at Harbor Hill Elementary School have been learning about the election process in anticipation of this year’s presidential election.

This week, students have been learning about topics such as the qualities of a great leader, how Americans vote, the role of the president, and the Electoral College.

In addition, students were taught how to make their voices heard before being eligible to vote. Students engaged in many activities designed to ingratiate them with the electoral process further.

“The students have been incredibly engaged in every lesson, discussion, and read-aloud related to the election,” said their teacher, Ms. Schwartz. “They have been respectful, inquisitive, and insightful and have thoroughly enjoyed learning about this important moment in our country’s
history.”
